CONCEPTUAL DESIGN:
Creating DAZ models allows for a wide range of expression and poses, giving artists the ability to bring their characters to life. These models can then be exported and imported into Maya, a popular 3D animation software. By rigging and animating the models in Maya, artists can add dynamic hair to their characters, further enhancing the realism and movement of the final product. This project combines the flexibility of DAZ models with the powerful animation capabilities of Maya, resulting in fully rigged and animated characters with dynamic hair that can be used in various creative projects.
FDM (fused deposition modeling)
3D printing is an additive technology used to manufacture parts. It is ‘additive’ in that it doesn’t require a block of material or a mold to manufacture physical objects, it simply stacks and fuses layers of material. It’s typically fast, with low fixed setup costs, and can create more complex geometries than ‘traditional’ technologies, with an ever-expanding list of materials. It is used extensively in the engineering industry, particularly for prototyping and creating lightweight geometries.
